<p>A device for determining pricing of articles (12, 26), especially articles offered in self service sales outlets, has at least one video camera (14) which is directed at a presentation surface (11, 25) which supports the article temporarily, and at least one image memory, which is designed for storing digitised comparative total images of the articles (12, 26) and/or features of the articles (12, 26). The video camera (14) is assigned a digitiser which digitises the image of the articles received from the video camera (14). A comparator recognises the article (12, 26) situated on the presentation surface (11, 25) by comparing its digitised total image and/or by comparing features with the comparative images contained in the image memory, and supplies identification signals to an electronic system which determines the pricing. <IMAGE></p> |
