The invention relates to a method for controlling an electronically controlled camera. The control system of the camera contains a memory (store) for storing a program for the camera control, which program contains at least one auxiliary process. A memory which can be overwritten stores flag data (marker data) by means of which it is determined whether the auxiliary process is to be carried out, and operation data for carrying out the auxiliary process.
