A multicast method in communication field includes: the network device obtaining the key, authenticating whether the multicast message sender and a multicast message are legal according to the key, when network device receives the multicast message sent by the multicast message sender. The multicast message is transmitted, when the multicast message sender and a multicast message are legal. Otherwise the multicast message is discarded. A network device and a multicasting system are provided. The legality of the multicast message sender and the legality of the sent multicast message are judged by the network device in the scheme of this invention. And the multicast message is discarded when any one is not legal. Thus, the network device does not transmit the illegal multicast message, thereby the waste of the network bandwidth is avoided. |
