The invention relates to a remote control transmitter for electronic devices, in particular consumer electronics devices, having a plurality of control elements (actuators, actuating elements) which are coupled to an electronic circuit. When these control elements are actuated, remote control instructions are generated by the electronic circuit and transmitted via a transmission stage to the remote control receiver of the electronic device to be controlled. The remote control transmitter has an integrated power supply. Provided for the purpose of supplying power to the electronic circuit in the remote control transmitter is a capacitor which has a high capacitance and can be charged either via a charging circuit from a network, or else by means of light which is directly converted into electric energy in solar cells.
