A voltage converter produces a three-phase output as well as a separate d.c. voltage output from a direct voltage input. There is an input filter (l1, c1) and a circuit generating a first intermediate voltage using an IGBT transistor pair (t1, t2). There is also a push-pull inverter stage with IGBT transistors (t3, t4) feeding a transformer primary. The transformer's first secondary winding supplies a first rectifier circuit with diodes (d3 to d6, l4, l5, c4, c5) generating a second intermediate voltage that is symmetrical about the centre tap of the winding. Six controlled IGBT transistors (ta to tf) use this second intermediate voltage to generate a three phase voltage. The second secondary winding (w2s) supplies a full-wave rectifier (d7, d8) with output filter. |
