The conveyor surface of a "moving floor" comprises a number of planks (1) which are arranged alongside one another and in the longitudinal direction are movably supported on guide elements (2). The planks can be moved forwards as a unit and moved back one by one or successively a relatively small number at a time. The conveyor surface has air passages (3) for aeration of material lying on the conveyor surface, for example manure or waste to be composted. To prevent blockage of these openings (3) there are knives or scrapers (7; 8, 9) which, as the planks (1) are moved, are able to remove material which has infiltrated the air passages (3). |
