Lupane derivatives of general formula (I) in which R is: (II), wherein X is a bond or an optionally substituted carbamoyl or aminocarbonyl, Y is a bond or phenylene, R DEG and R DEG DEG , which are the same or different, are H or methyl and n is 6 to 12, m is 0 to 3 and p is 0 to 2, with 6 </= m+n+p </= 14, and R1 is methyl, hydroxymethyl, -CH2OR' or -CH2SR' (R' is alkyl or hydroxyalkyl), the alkyl radicals (1 to 4C) are straight or branched. The invention also concerns the salts of said derivatives and their preparation. The products according to the invention are especially useful in the treatment of AIDS and in infections induced by the herpes family of viruses. |
