The invention relates to a sealed, insulating, self-supporting, self-centring and self-clamping (self-tensioning) cover for use over swimming pools to convert them into usable floor space, for the use of which a standard surcharge can be applied as for private enclosures. It is made up of modules assembled over the entire surface area of the pool. Each module consists of a frame (1) covered by a sealed floor (2) and two longitudinal rails on each side which clamp the modules together and seal the join.
