A safety lock for a bag 1 comprises two interacting surfaces 11 which are provided with adhesive and located close to the filling opening 9 of the bag. The surfaces provided with adhesive are folded in over one another and bent over so as to lie over the bag side 3 when the bag is in use. For closing and sealing the bag, a pulling force 15 is exerted, by means of which the surface 11 provided with adhesive is exposed and can interact with a corresponding surface provided with adhesive on an opposite bag side. After this, the two surfaces provided with adhesive are pressed together, and the bag is closed. Depending on the adhesive used, the bag can be reopened or be sealed. <IMAGE>
