<p>Distributed call setup and rerouting are realized in a mobile-communications network (12). A connection tree (10) is set up within the network, e.g., upon a mobile user (29) accessing a base station (34). The connection tree (10) comprises communication routes from a fixed point in the network, the root of the tree (11), to each base station (33, 35, 36) within a vicinity of the base station (34) accessed by the mobile user (29). When the mobile user (29) moves from one cell (40) to another (41) within the connection tree (10), the call is rerouted to another route within the connection tree (10).</p> |
