A kink resistant multi-purpose drainage catheter (200). A drainage catheter (200) is constructed using kink resistant tubing (274). One end of the kink resistant tube (274) forms a drain for bodily fluids. The opposite end of the kink resistant tube (274) has a molded LUER connector (272). The drain has numerous holes (280) along its length to allow drainage. The substrate of the kink resistant tube (274) is constructed from an extrusion. The extrusion is then covered wih a coil (276) along the body of the catheter (200). The entire length of the drainage catheter (200) is coated with a final layer of polyurethane (279). The drain may be formed in a number of desired shapes along with the position of drainage holes (280).
