Dispenser (1) for dressings, more particularly plaster material. Said dispenser (1) comprises a storage section, a transport section (3) and a cutting element (4). According to the invention the cutting element (4) is so constructed that, during the cutting movement, the cutting edge of the cutting blade (13) is at every point always the same distance away from a fixed carrier block arranged beneath the cutting blade (13). That is to say, cutting does not take place from left to right but in a single operation over the entire width of the cutting blade (13).
