<p>A tagging system for giving parking citations, or for other identification purposes, on a vehicle or any object made of magnetically susceptible material. The system provides a magnetic tag having a strong permanent magnet permanently affixed in a ferromagnetic cover shaped to make it impossible to remove by hand when the magnet is placed on such an object. An applicator is provided which slips over the tag and interconnects therewith for applying the tag to the vehicle or object; and a removal tool is provided which uses a screw to obtain mechanical advantage for removal of the tag. Indicia can be provided on the tag for various purposes such as a day of month and barcode label. Tagging methods are disclosed in accordance with the system.</p> |
