A method for arranging characters and an apparatus for inputting characters are provided to enable a user to manipulate characters by arranging alphabets on keys according to meaning. Arabic numbers are arranged on plural numeric keys, and the words corresponding to abbreviation type or the name of the Arabic numbers are arranged on the numeric keys corresponding to names in a state that the alphabets are overlapped with each other. Meaning is added to an alphabet which constitutes the name of the number, and the alphabets are combined. The combined alphabets are arranged on additional keys. |
