A fishing-rod weight for fastening to the main line and to the fore-pocket of a fishing rod possesses a main weight (1), an elongate part (3) fastened to the latter and essentially perpendicular thereto and two fastening devices (5, 6), spaced from one another along the elongate part, for the main line and the fore-pocket, one of these fastening devices being arranged in the region of that end of the elongate part (3) remote from the main weight (1). <IMAGE>
