Insulating body

A description is given of an insulating body (1) which comprises capillary pieces (2) arranged in a virtually axis-parallel manner with respect to one another, at least one area (4) of the lined-up capillary-piece ends (3) being irregular, and it being possible for at least one of the two areas of the capillary-piece ends to be closed off by a covering layer. The specially formed irregularity, claimed by the features of the invention, of the insulating-body surfaces formed by the capillary-piece ends has the effect that, when said surfaces are exposed to light and/or sound, a considerable reduction in reflection effects is achieved. Such an insulating body without covering layers is shown in Figure 1, as is one of the irregular insulating-body surfaces. <IMAGE>
