Substituted pyrazoline derivatives of general formula (I) in which R<1>, R<2> and R<4>, which may be the same or different, are hydrogen, or are phenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, alkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl or alkenyl, each of which is optionally substituted, or R<1> and R<2> together form an optionally benzo fused alkylene group, R<3> and R<5>, which may be the same or different, are hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl, R<6>, R<7> and R<8>, which may be the same or different are hydrogen, nitro or cyano or are phenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl or alkenyl, each of which is optionally substituted, or R<6> and R<7> together with the C-C double bond attached to the nitrogen form an optionally substituted cycloalkenyl ring, have insecticidal and acaricidal activity.
