A circularly polarising local antenna for a magnetic resonance device comprises a first and a second partial antenna in the form of a first and second coil (4, 6 respectively), which enclose an examination region in a first position, and whose coil axes (8, 10 respectively) are oriented essentially perpendicularly to each other. The first coil (4) is arranged movably in the sense that, in the second position, the first coil (4) frees at least one opening (18, 20) in the second coil (6) for introducing the examination region and, in the first position, the first coil (4) encloses the second coil (6), including at least a part of the openings (18, 20). <IMAGE>
