Foldable stereoscope for observing by transparency images having a 3-D effect. The stereoscope primarily consists of a single part made of cardboard or other similarly transformable material which is folded and bonded or assembled, and, in a storage position, is like a box fluttened on two of its four sides. In use, the two small opposing sides (2) are erected, thereby giving volume to the box, and the two flaps (3 and 4) are folded in, until the lugs at the top of each of the flaps enter the slot (8) in the top (9). Flap (3) supports the optic system (5), and flap (4) includes windows (13) and possibly the diffuser and the fixed or interchangeable stereoscopic views (6). The visual impact of the stereoscopic image, the use of the printable surfaces and its low cost make the present invention especially suitable for advertizing and promotional applications.
