Known power lasers have, despite different temperature conditions when turning on and during operation, outstanding electrical, optical and mechanical properties. They are, however, expensive. These properties are, however, retained in spite of less expensive production costs, by starting with a solidly monolithic optical bench, rigidly mechanically connecting at least some clearance blocks and intermediate blocks to this bench, and configuring these blocks such that they are not displaced during machining, and only then providing those holes which are necessary for the laser path (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
