A device for shaping spectacle lenses has at least one shaping station for shaping the edge and/or a surface of the spectable lens and a multiaxis positioning unit with a gripping member which grips the spectacle lens and introduces it into or removes it from the shaping station. The device is characterised in that the gripping member has at least one vacuum gripper which is ventilated or in which a depression is generated by a control unit.
