<p>A device (10) for storing and managing an elongate flexible member includes a container (12), a spool (18), and a crank (20). The container (10) includes a base (22), a cylindrical sidewall (24), and a first access hole (26). The cylindrical sidewall (24) engages the spool (18) to concentrically retain the spool (18) during rotation of the spool (18). The spool (18) is disposed within the container (12) and includes a top (46) having a second access hole (66), a bottom (42) and a column (44) extending between the top (46) and the bottom (42). The bottom (42) rests upon and is supported by the base (22) of the container (12). The column (44) defines a surface (52) for winding the elongate flexible member around. The crank (20) is secured to the top (46) of the spool (18) and allows the spool (18) to be rotated within the container (12). The first end of a flexible member passes out through the first access hole (26) of the container (12). The second end of the flexible member passes through the second access hole (66) of the container (12).</p> |
