The invention concerns the use of dihydroliponic acid ir physiologically tolerated salts thereof in the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of disorders caused by radicals in living body tissue, e.g. eye ailments and incompatability reactions at the interfaces between implants or endoprostheses, in particular between ophthalmological implants or endoprostheses and living body tissue.
