The invention relates to a sample metering system having an injection needle which is connected via lines to a metering pump, as well as a liquid reservoir connected to the latter. One object of the invention is to obtain a simple sample metering system which is suitable for liquid chromatography. This object is achieved in that switchover devices are provided, with which, in a first position, the injection needle being closed off, a connection can be made between the liquid reservoir and the metering pump and, in a second position, the injection needle can again be released and the rinsing-liquid reservoir can be separated from the metering pump.
