<p>The mean nuclear power and the axial power difference in the core (4) of a reactor are determined, in a determination system (11), from signals supplied by two detectors, high (8) and low (10), by multiplying each of these signals by a sensitivity term in a multiplier (12, 14) preceding a matrix processing unit (16). During the calibration of this system with the aid of a reference measuring system (24) introduced into this core, only these sensitivity terms are modified, and this avoids having to modify the operating configuration of the core.
