Buffered voltage supply for computer electronics (CE) which are arranged in particular in a vehicle and whose memories (MEM) are fed via a buffer battery (PA) and whose voltage supply line (UB) is fed by a starting battery (BA) in each case as a function of an operating position (BS) of an ignition switch (Z), which battery (BA) feeds a starter (AM) in each case in a starting position (AS). In each case an operating signal (BSS) which indicates the operating position (BS) is fed to a timing element (TG) which responds with a slight delay and is released with a long delay and is fed from the buffer battery (PA) and, parallel thereto via an isolating diode (D1) from the starting battery (BA) and which, when actuated in each case, switches the supply voltage (UV) formed in this way to the supply voltage line (UB). A facility for monitoring the buffer battery (PA) is provided.
