<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a toner excellent in low-temp. fixability on a transfer material and anti-offsetting property while applying a small amt. of oil or without applying oil at all by using a specified monofunctional ester compd. CONSTITUTION:A mixture contg. a bonding resin, a colorant and a mono- functional ester compd. having tert. and/or quat. carbon is melted, kneaded, cooled, pulverized and classified to form toner particles contg. the above- mentioned components. The monofunctional ester compd. has a moderate affinity for the bonding resin so as to ensure satisfactory low-temp. fixability and has high hydrophobic property, a low m.p. and low crystallizability. It is necessary that the symmetry of the structure of a releasing agent itself is broken by tert. or quat. carbon so as to hinder the crystallization of the releasing agent itself.</p> |
