PRODUCTION OF ESTER OR LACTONE

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a new production method which can produce an ester or lactone useful as a synthetic intermediate for a caprolactam and a synthetic intermediate for an organic solvent, a pharmaceutical and agrocultural agent and a perfume by the use of oxygen which is inexpensive and safe as an oxidizing agent. CONSTITUTION:An ester or lactone is produced by a manufacturing process including the reaction of an ether compound with oxygen in the presence of a transition metal compound and an alpha-diketone.
