PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-shrinkable tube containing polyethylene improved in properties and excellent in heat resistance by forming the heat-shrinkable tube from a polyethylene resin compsn. containing crosslinked polyethylene and a specific non-crosslinked ethylenic copolymer in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:A heat-shrinkable tube is composed of a compsn. wherein 1-50 pts.wt. of a non-crosslinked ethylenic copolymer with ethylene content of 60wt.% or greater. having a carboxyl group is contained with respect to 100 pts.wt. of crosslinked polyethylene. Crosslinked polyethylene is polyethylene subjected to chemical crosslinking or water crosslinking and polyethylene having peroxide added thereto, silane grafted polyethylene subjected to water crosslinking by a silanol catalyst and a copolymer based on ethylene and an ethylenic unsaturated silane compd. can be used. When a heat-shrinkable tube is molded from the resin compsn. using crosslinkable polyethylene to be subjected to chemical crosslinking or water crosslinking, the heat-shrinkable tube excellent in flexibility, heat resistance, appearance and thermal recovery can be obtained. |
