PURPOSE:To protect the electronic circuit of a connected external device from an electric discharge from the outside by providing a conducting panel arranged near a female connecting terminal on the outer periphery of the insertion ports of lead pins of the external device. CONSTITUTION:Semiconductor chips 34 and circuit elements are mounted on an electronic circuit board 31, and they are connected by wires. Ground lines 35 are formed on the board 31. When a connector 1 is connected to a memory card, the ground lines 35 are connected to a metal plate 3. When lead pins of an external electronic apparatus are inserted into a female contact socket 7, the tip sections of the lead pins approach the metal plate 3 first, the static electricity of the electronic apparatus is discharged to the ground lines 35 from the lead pins via the metal plate 3 and contact pieces 5a, 5b, then the lead pins are inserted into the socket 7. The electronic circuit board 31 in the memory card is protected from static electricity. |
