PURPOSE:To provide a portable telephone set capable of dial-calling with extremely easy operation. CONSTITUTION:This telephone set is provided with a calling function part 1 calling by radio, a front key part 21 including dial keys, a mode key 22 for switching the operation mode of the front key part 21, a registering number referring table part 31 storing dial numbers which are previously registered in an address corresponding to each key of the front key part 21, a display part 4 displaying information and a control part 5 controlling keys and each part. The control part 5 switches the operation mode of the front key part 21 to a abbreviation mode by operating the mode key 22, calls a corresponding dial number from the registering number referring table 31 in accordance with the prescribed operation of the front key part 21 under the abbreviation mode to display it on the display part 4 and calls via the calling function part 1. Preferably, the telephone set is provided with a timer means energized by the prescribed operation of the front key part 21 under the abbreviation mode so that the control part 5 calls with the time-out of the timer means. |
