PURPOSE:To reproduce a color over a wide range in a small type, and restrain a characteristic change in a liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION:The first light 24 of P polarization is created by light from a light source 22 by the first polarizing plate 23, and is made incident on a phase difference plate 25a and a dichroic mirror 26. A color separated R color polarized light condition is changed in the phase difference plate 25a and the dichroic mirror 26, and the second light 27 of S polarization is created, and is made incident on a liquid crystal panel 30R through the second polarizing plate 29 to pass only the S polarization. |
