<p>PURPOSE:To automatically select an optimum magnetic head to carry out reproduction by providing a device with a control means for selecting and outputting a larger output based on a comparison result of a comparator means for comparing outputs in size from a changeover means for 1st and 2nd signals. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reproducing a tape recorded by using (+) azimuth magnetic heads for both two heads, switches 1 and 2 are turned to the side of (a) and the side of (d) respectively, so as to output signals of head amplifiers A and C respectively. A reproducing output is obtained from the (+) azimuth magnetic head A because a track under tracing is recorded by the same azimuth, while no reproducing output is obtained from a (-) azimuth head +C. Consequently, the output of an envelope detector 1 corresponding to a reproducing output of the (+) azimuth head +A is larger than the output of an envelope detector 2 corresponding to a reproducing output of the (-) azimuth head C, and a switch 3 is turned to the side of (g) by the comparator to select the output of the switch +1, and the reproducing output of the (+) azimuth head A is obtained at an output terminal.</p> |
