<p>PURPOSE:To make development fit for a capsulated toner, to attain low energy fixation and to prolong the service life of a developer by using a two-component developer contg. a carrier having prescribed apparent, density or saturation magnetization. CONSTITUTION:A latent image on an image carrier is developed with a two- component developer consisting of toner particles and a magnetic carrier. The toner is a capsulated toner consisting of a heat-meltable core material contg. at least a thermoplastic resin and a colorant and each shell based on amorphous polyester and formed so as to coat the surface of the core material. The magnetic carrier is a ferrite or magnetite carrier having <=2.7g/cm<3> apparent density or <=60emu/g saturation magnetization.</p> |
