<p>PURPOSE:To provide an information retrieving device to be easily used by various users. CONSTITUTION:A user depresses a retrieval key displayed on a display part 4 from an instruction input device 1 such as a mouse. An input processing part 2 activates a sort display control part 3 and a retrieving system part 5 based upon the instruction. The control part 3 has an importance degree managing part 3a, a display item selecting part 3b and an arrangement determining part 3c and manages the degree of importance of individual sorting items, the selecting part 3b determines the display/non-display of individual sorting items and the determining part 3c determines the arrangement of sorting items on the display part 4 so as to recognize the sorting relation of a sorting item whose display is selected. The degree of importance is managed by the managing part 3a each time an optional sorting item is instructed. A retrieving system part 5 retrieves information hierarchically stored in a data base device 6 based upon the instruction from an instruction input device 1. The display part 4 displays the sorting item to be retrieval object and the retrieved information based upon the arrangement designated by the control part 3.</p> |
