PURPOSE:To facilitate changing of wirings of optical cords, to prevent the erroneous selection of the optical cords, to enable the conduction of operation in a short period of time and to prevent the generation of breaking of optical fibers and interruption of communication by constituting the connecting board in such a manner that racks of the N-th step exist in the positions corresponding to the first group to N-th group of an adapter column. CONSTITUTION:The optical cords 10 are divided to N groups and the optical cords 10 relating to the first group 321 are defined as the first group 101 and are placed on the racks 401 of the first step. These racks are constituted in staircase-like different levels, i.e., the cross widths of the respective racks are gradually narrower toward the upper side. Spaces 422 for housing the optical cords 10 are formed in the parts where the racks 401 and 402 of the first step and the second step overlap. The racks 402 of the second step project to the left side from the racks 401 of the first step by as much as the length corresponding to the length of the second group 322 of the adapter column. The upper parts of these parts are open. The second group 102 of the optical cords 10 relating to the second group adapter column 322 is, therefore, housed in the housing space 422 of the second step and is risen easily toward the second group 302 of the adapter column. |
