PURPOSE:To omit a transparent protective layer to protect a filter color pattern by eliminating reduction of mutual joining strength and a liquid crystal sealing strength between a color filter glass substrate and a glass substrate for electrodes confronting the color filter by the omission of the transparent protective layer (overcoating layer) and to efficiently produce a color filter for a liquid crystal display device at low cost. CONSTITUTION:This color filter for a liquid crystal display device is equipped with a black matrix pattern 2 having an insulating property or electrical conduction cutting off property, a filter color pattern 5 comprising blue, green and red colored patterns formed on a transparent glass substrate 1, and a transparent conductive layer 4 formed on these patterns 2, 5. The transparent conductive layer 4 is directly formed on the patterns 2, 5. An anchor layer 3 for connection comprising a metal thin film is formed along the sealing part of a liquid crystal on the transparent glass substrate 1. |
