PURPOSE:To provide an external manifold type fused carbonate fuel cell, which prevents damage to a ceramic frame serving an insulator, and which has a highly reliable seal. CONSTITUTION:In a fused carbonate fuel cell in which a manifold 1 is provided on the side surface of a cell stack 2 through a ceramic felt 3 and an alumina frame 4, a metallic hollow O-ring 1d having elasticity is provided on the surface side which is in contact with the ceramic felt 3 of the manifold 1. Distortion caused by heat can be absorbed thereby. |
