PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricant compsn. suitable esp. for an internal combustion engine by compounding a base oil with zinc dialkyldithiophosphates, calcium sulfonate, calcium salicylate, and a molybdenum oxysulfide dithiocarbamate. CONSTITUTION:This lubricant compsn. is obtd. by compounding a base oil with zinc dialkyldithiophosphates comprising a zinc dialkyldithiophosphate having secondary alkyl groups and a zinc dialkyldithiophosphate having primary alkyl groups in such amts. that the former dialkyldithiophosphate contains 50-100wt.% of the total phosphorus and the latter contains 50-0wt.% and that the total phosphorus content is 0.04-0.12wt.% of the compsn., 1.0-3.0wt.% (based on the compsn.) calcium sulfonate, 0.3-2.5wt.% (based on the compsn.) calcium salicylate, and a molybdenum oxysulfide dithiocarbamate having an 8-23C hydrocarbon group in an amt. of molybdenum of 50-2,000ppm. The total base value of the compsn. is adjusted to 2-13. |
