PURPOSE:To obtain a flavin reductase gene of a luminous bacterium having the flavin mononucleotide (FMN) reducing activity. CONSTITUTION:The enzymic gene is composed of a DNA having a base sequence of 1225 sequence length and has the flavin reducing activity. This gene codes for a protein, composed of 233 amino acids and having 26439 molecular weight. Furthermore, a recombinant vector contains this gene and a bacterium contains the vector. |
