PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive picture input device with high precision without executing the synchronous control of a clock and the precision improvement of an oscillator by obviating a problem that correct picture data cannot be obtained because of the non-synchronization of the reading speed of picture data with the moving speed of a sensor part. CONSTITUTION:A clock measuring timer 18 measuring the clock of a sensor control part 17 and a sub scanning control part 16 controlling the moving speed of a carriage driving motor 6 by a timer value obtained from the clock measuring timer 18 are provided. A data synchronizing signal from a sensor control part 17 is measured by the clock measuring timer 18 and error information is given to the sub scanning control part 16 which controls the carriage driving motor 6 so that moving speed can be controlled in accordance with the reading speed of the sensor part. |
