PURPOSE:To obtain a method and device for processing a waterless planographic printing plate by which the flow resistance and the printing durability of the waterless planographic printing plate after plate making are improved. CONSTITUTION:A stage for immersing a photosensitive layer in a compound infiltrating a non-image part or water solution containing the compound and having low water content in comparison with water-based developer is provided before or/and after coloring stage after finishing a developing stage. The compound softening the photosensitive layer when it infiltrates the photosensitive layer is disirable as the compound infiltrating the non-image part. The spray pipes 264 and 266 of a softening processing part 250 communicate with a softening processing solution supply device, and softening processing solution supplied from the softening processing solution supply device is jetted to the waterless printing plate 12. Thus, by infiltrating or expanding the photosensitive layer of the non-image part of the plate 12, the photosensitive layer is softened and the elasticity of the plate 12 itself is increased. |
