PURPOSE:To control regulating force to a liquid crystal molecule, and improve orientation by making surface tension of an oriented film larger than surface tension of column shape resin formed when unhardened resin mixed in a liquid crystal material is deposited and hardened. CONSTITUTION:An oriented film material is applied to a glass substrate forming a transparent electrode, and rubbing treatment is carried out, and uniaxial orientation treatment is carried out, and silica particles are sprayed on one substrate as a spacer, and a sealing material of epoxy resin is formed on the other substrate by screen printing, and both substrates are stuck together, and a cell is formed. A ferroelectric liquid crystal material and an uncured resin material are mixed together unifromly, and this liquid crystal mixture and cell are heated in isotropy, and the luquid crystal mixture is injected into the cell, and after annealing, it is irradiated with ultraviolet rays, and uncured resin mixed in the liquid crystal material is deposited and cured, and column shape resin is formed. Here, since surface tension of an oriented film is made larger than surface tension of the column shape resin, orientation of a liquid crystal molecule can be improved. |
