PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a power amplifier when the transmission output of the radio transmitter is low. CONSTITUTION:The radio transmitter which varies the level of its transmission output is provided with a transmitting circuit 13 which generates a sent signal S13 and the power amplifier 14 which amplifies the power of the sent signal S13 from this transmitting circuit 13. Further, the transmitter is provided with a variable voltage converter 40 which converts a source voltage V34 into the operating voltage V45 of the power amplifier 14. The level of the operating voltage V45 supplied from this variable voltage converter 40 to the power amplifier 14 is varied corresponding to the level of he transmission output. |
