PURPOSE:To protect internal data of an equipment by saving the present operation state in a storage medium in operating the power source protection circuit. CONSTITUTION:When the protection circuit of a main power source 11 is operated, a protection circuit operation signal (PROTECT) becomes active. Then, the power supply is switched to an auxiliary power supply 13 and the main power supply 11 is turned off and the data required to reproduce the operation state of the present equipment recorded on a main memory are stored in a storage medium 15 such as magnetic disk or the like and the auxiliary power supply 13 is also stopped. When the abnormality of the main power supply is prevented and the operation of the protection circuit is stopped and the power is supplied again, the operation of the equipment is restarted, the state of the equipment is returned to just before the operation of the protection circuit is started. |
