FAULT DIAGNOSING METHOD

PURPOSE:To study the causes of a fault when the fault occurs and also to preestimate the possibility of fault occurrence. CONSTITUTION:The operating state of an equipment 1 is monitored and controlled by a monitoring/controlling device 2. Then the fault of the equipment 1 is inferred at an inferring part 33 of an expert system 3 based on the fault diagnostic data obtained by the device 2. The system 3 requests the device 2 to send the fault diagnostic data at a fixed time interval. Furthermore the system 3 infers the possibility of fault occurrence of the equipment 1 every time the fault diagnostic data are received from the device 2, and the system 3 infers the factors of a fault and shows the inferring result on a display 35 when the possibility of fault occurrence is confirmed or the fault has actually occurred.
