PURPOSE:To provide a monitoring device which has no monitoring dead angle and can distinguish the inside employees from the outside persons without causing any physical and mental fatigue of a monitoring person. CONSTITUTION:An ITV camera 3 is arranged at a position where a reference image can be photographed, and the image showing no intruder is stored in a reference image storage means 5 of a circuit as a reference image. In an actual monitoring mode, the input images of the camera 3 are stored in an image storage means 4. Then the images stored in the means 5 are subtracted from the images stored in the means 4 so that the difference of images is calculated between the intruders and the workers. In regard of the difference image, the number of picture elements are counted by an area calculating means 7 to calculate an area through a color extracting means 6 which extracts a specific color by a specific working unifirm put on a worker and by a logical calculation carried out among images of RGB components. When this calculated area is larger than the prescribed threshold value, a deciding means 8 decides the presence of an intruder. |
