PURPOSE:To suppress the increase in input output links to an exchange and the internal hardware against large scale capacity of subscriber lines accommodated in the optical exchange with respect to the line concentration multiplexer and demultiplexer in the optical exchange system comprising plural line concentration multiplexers receiving optical signals, the optical exchange implementing exchange the optical signals being the outputs of the multiplexers by the STM system and the demultiplexers demultiplexing the output from the optical exchange. CONSTITUTION:The line concentration multiplexer 1 is provided with plural (n) spatial switches receiving plural L number of optical signals of a predetermined wavelength and applying line concentration to a predetermined number (m) (L>=m), plural (n) multiplexer circuits 11 applying time division multiplex to the prescribed number (m) of optical signals outputted from each of spatial switches 10, plural (n) wavelength conversion switches 12 converting a wavelength of the optical signal from each multiplexer circuit into a preset specific wavelength and a multiplexer 13. Outputs of plural wavelength conversion switches are combined by the multiplexer, in which wavelength division multiplexing is applied to the signals. |
