<p>PURPOSE:To make the load putting on a controlling mechanism operating a tension lever small and to allow a margin in the setting of the pulling spring of a back tension mechanism when a magnetic recording and reproducing device is moved from a play mode to other running modes. CONSTITUTION:One side of a pulling spring 723 energizing a tension lever 720 to a counter clock wise is attached to the tension lever 720 provided freely rotatively on a shasis 100. At the time of a PLAY, the tension lever 720 is rotated in a counter clock wise direction and tenses a tension band 722 wound to a S-side reel base 200a. At the time of shifting from a PLAY mode to other running modes, a controlling lever 330 moves rotatively to press the tension lever 720 towards the direction for slackenning the tension band 722 and then, contracts the pulling spring 723 expanded in the vicinity of an actuating edge 331 on the tension lever 720 and the controlling lever 330.</p> |
