PURPOSE:To provide an organic electrolytic battery excellent in safety under high voltage by using, as the electrolyte of an organic electrolyte, an organic metal salt satisfying a specified condition. CONSTITUTION:An organic electrolytic battery has, as constituting elements, a negative electrode obtained by integrating an alkali metal such as Li, Na and K or a compound containing the alkali metal with a current collecting material such as stainless steel mesh; a positive electrode obtained by molding a manganese oxide with a current collecting material such as aluminum as a core material; and an organic electrolyte. As the electrolyte of the organic electrolyte, an organic metal salt satisfying the condition of 'an organic metal salt having a HOMO energy calculated by semi-empirical molecular orbital method lower than the HOMO energy of an organic metal salt of the same carbon number having a straight chain alkyl group' is used, whereby the safety under high voltage of the battery can be improved. |
